I felt it was important that we celebrate and honor connection with authentic textures and craftsmanship. Hence, I met Abder and Morocco-based owner Mohamed Elmaarouf of Imports From Marrakesh through a very random convo about Berber history and dialects. Surrounded by piles of gorgeous handwoven Berber zarbiya and wool poufs, lanterns and artisan Babouche that I knew well ~ I was in heaven. Then, to much delight via an online hunt, I happened upon an exquisite handcarved antique wood print block that enabled self adorned traditional henna tattoo’s ~ fun!
